My name is George Patterson and I am a senior who is studying Operations Management. I believe that technology has been a great asset because it has given us the opportunity to have virtually anything at our finger tips, whether that be for educational purposes or just for entertainment. Technology for the purpose of education has been every beneficiary for me. Whenever I need to ask my teacher a question I do not have to go to his/her office, I can just e-mail them. Using technology from a teachers standpoint, you are able to exchange information or data with your students, post assignments or grades, or accessing information from outside databases for educational reasons.

My name is Winston Bradley. I am a senior majoring in finance and will be graduating in August. Technology is crucial in field of interest because I use it for modeling, forecasting and gathering data. I've never thought about having to use technology as an educator because I've never considered being an educator. However, I will begin graduate work this fall and there may be an opportunity to assist undergraduate in creating pricing and forecasting models with available technology.

My name is Anna Wood. My major is Special Education and I am getting it for K-12. I am very excited because I love working for kids and knowing that I can help their life! Technology is pretty cool. I think that technology has changed things for the better. Now since most everyone knows how to use a computer it makes commucation easier. Although it has made things more high-tech and hard to learn how to use it has proven to have more pros than cons too me. I believe that using technology in a classroom will be more useful for the students. I know for me going to school to be a teacher I plan on using. I can it helping the students understand certain better because they can also login to a site they went over in class that day and view examples to help them when they are outside of the classroom. I also think that the technology world is still growing and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for the future!

I think technology is fascinating. It has improved our society tremendously, and I think it's going to keep improving in the future. I'm actually pretty bad with new technology and being able to use it correctly. I finally got an IPOD touch about two months ago, and I am still trying to figure everything out. It's bad.
For teachers, I think the use of technology will be very useful. It provides a quick way for communication. It also provides a way to enhance the classroom learning through interactive websites and blogging. However, I think that technology can be enforced too much and it can take away from actual teaching lectures. If students use technology for everything and rely on computers for notes and what not, what is the point of me being a teacher?

It can be used as assistive technology for students with special needs to help them better access the material or for activities with all students. Technology is a huge part of society today and using it in education benefits students in the present and in the long run.

Hi, I am Kim Stamps and I am a senior majoring in special education. I think that technology is very important in education and especially in special education. I plan to make technology a part of my teaching by giving my students and their parents easier assess to myself such as blogging and through email. I also believe that technology (especially assistive technology) can help improve academics for students in special education. As a teacher my job is to help my students learn to their greatest ability and I believe technology can be a great aid.
